SIMMER STYLE FLATWATER SAILS 2007
By admin on 2/18/2007
Quality, Performance and Style are the fundamental features of all Simmer designs. For 2007, we are pleased to introduce our newly re-modeled Flatwater line up of Freeride, Freerace and Full Race models.

SPARK is the sail for recreational and introductory high performance sailing.

Diffin reports from the Valley Isle
By admin on 2/16/2007
Maui has been typical for January, February- some good sailing days, lots of great surfing days, and 4 days of the strongest Kona winds I've ever seen, plus it was pretty big surf. We had 4 days in a row of solid 30-35kts, and there were many, many gusts over 50. Even with the extreme wind, there were sessions to be had at Lanes, Kanaha and Kihei.

Teboul just returned from another trip somewhere in the Atlantic (he won't reveal where) where he was putting a new '08 5.0 prototype to the test, with great results. I saw the photos from the spot, and it is world class and unknown. Mast high- 5.0-4.7, side off, sunny, warm…. The photos will likely be popping up in publications around the world soon and people can see for themselves- the spot and the new sail in actio ...

By admin on 2/14/2007

While on the warm water subject Vincent Langer is back from Tenerife, defrosted and with a bag full of good slalom days and an occasional wave sailing day here and there. Next up is a roadtrip to Sardinia to break in the new racing and slalom sails, after test rigging them Vincent is convinced:

"– I'm sure that they will perform even better than last years models, I've never seen a sail with such nice and easy rotation."

So there you go, a word from the wise who probably spends more time on the water than on land. For more good hints drop by: http://www.vincentlanger.de

Rudy Castorina
By admin on 1/31/2007

Another one getting the best of Maui is Rudy Castorina who got served 5 days of Apocalyptic 50 knot Kona winds along with 8-10 foot waves that made way for some glassy surf at Ho'okipa and tow-in on the outer reefs once the wind finally dropped. As Rudy wrote to tell us this he got a call from the beach saying that the tradewinds where back and Ho'okipa was firing so he had to go. Ah well, until he's back, check out these recent surf shots of him. Photo: Jono Knight & MNeal.net
