Ladies and gentlemen we'd like to introduce you to the latest addition to the Simmer team, Pozo ripper Jonas Ceballos E40. Since his time in Jeri, Brazil is almost up, we will bet you ten to one that Ascanio D' Ascanio is without a doubt busy squeezing in a couple Ponch's, Willy skippers and what not before packing it up. We'll even bet you that he's still in his boardshorts and harness dripping saltwater when he gets on the plane, anything to get one or two more tricks nailed before it's time to head home to Ibiza. Whether he'll have the time to unpack or not before heading down to South Africa's Cape Town for some more wind and waves on January 10th is hard to say, but with plans for yet another spring on Maui it's safe to say that this guy gets a lot of windsurfing done. Apparently Santa's hanging out in Kiel, Germany, where he got himself an R&D gig for Simmer Style since he doesnt mind the freezing waters.

While a lot of people are stuck in winter right now things are just warming up for New Zealand's Mike La Franchie who's been making the most out of the last winter/spring swells. While carving mast high walls with everything from 40 knots to non-existent winds on the inside, Mike is relying heavily on his Icon's, which he describes like this:

"-My Icons are handling very well throughout the full range of wind conditions. Whether sailing under or over powered they still feel stable in my hands, with a steady pull of power to drive me through bottom turns."

Yet another statement that further proves the Icon's worldwide ability to handle any spot, in any conditions at any time.

Time flies when you have a good time. So with all those good winds and warm waters it's no wonder there's only a week left of Emma Johansson's month and a half long stay in Jeri, Brazil. Despite the days flying by she says it's been a really good time with lots of progress that even a stretched knee ligament couldn't stop.

After a month or so in the sunshine and good winds of Jericuacuara, Brazil Ascanio D' Ascanio is all warmed up and just nailed a few Goiters and Ponchs as well as cleaning up his Flakas on both tacks and to add some extra flavor to the routine he switches it up with Punetas and Funnels. Thanks to a damn nice married woman shooting photos of her husband on the beach we can offer you some pictures, of Ascanio that is, not her husband, though we heard he rips. 8) After winning the Freestyle Expression Session and taking 5th in the men's wave at the Tiree event fellow team rider Ben Profitt re-charged and headed straight down to the Isle of Wight for the final UK event of the year and won both the men's Freestyle and Wave event and took the British Wave Champ title 2006.
